Authorities are in pursuit of a suspect who discharged a firearm at a Tesla dealership in Salem, Oregon. Police responded to reports of damaged windows at the dealership around 5 am Wednesday. Officers located several windows damaged by bullets upon arrival, KGW8 reported.

A spokesperson for the police department, Angela Hedrick, said that the incident remains an active investigation. Police left the scene around 12:30 pm.

Photos show that the dealership's two front doors were removed and damage was sustained to at least three other windows.

According to investigators, this is the same dealership that had a car set on fire last month on January 20 around 3:45 am. The dealership is located at 2755 Mission Street Southeast. Authorities have not arrested a suspect in this case, which is being investigated as an arson.

This follows nationwide Democratic-backed protests against billionaire Elon Musk, who is leading the Trump adminsitration's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which is dedicated to reducing federal government waste.
