Far-left activists protest at Chicago's Trump Tower Chicago to 'end the Trump era' and 'stop white supremacy'

On Wednesday, anti-Israel groups and other radicals marched in downtown Chicago’s Federal Plaza to protest the election of Donald Trump outside the building that bears his name.

According to CBS, the event was organized by United States Palestinian Community Network, whose Chicago chapter was founded by convicted Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist Rasmea Odeh. She was deported in 2017 after failing to disclose a terrorism conviction in Israel.

The group is now led by co-founder Hatem Abudayyeh who according to Canary Mission “has supported a terrorist, praised terror organizations, called for Israel’s destruction and is an activist in the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.”

The terrorist affiliated group was joined by the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights to protest Trump’s threats of mass deportation for illegal immigrants, and radical police abolition group, The Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression, whose members held a banner saying "End the Trump Era. Stop White Supremacy."

The groups were joined by hundreds of local activists and marched through the streets blocking intersections and disrupting traffic, picking up where they left off hours after the election results were announced.

Before the groups began marching, various activist leaders addressed the crowd including Louise Carhartt from United Auto Workers 2320 who said “F*ck Donald Trump and f*ck the system that put him in power.” The group grew so large that Chicago police requested additional units for crowd control and support.
