Anti-Christian drag group 'Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence' hosts sacrilegious, trans-themed 'Easter' event marketed to kids

The anti-Christian, San Francisco-based drag queen group known as the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is once again drawing backlash, this time for its annual Easter event, which openly mocks Christianity as well as promotes transgender ideology to children.

This year’s event, titled "No Easter Without the T," features an Easter egg hunt for kids, alongside a drag-themed costume contest encouraging attendees to dress as “Hunky Jesus” and “Foxy Mary.” According to a report by Fox News, a promotional poster for the event includes a depiction of a tattooed “Jesus” surrounded by men dressed in drag.

Photos from past events show individuals dressed as Jesus in high heels and holding signs that read, “Can I get a gaymen?” and “Haus of Jesus.”

The group’s website shows previous winners of the contest that include "Barbie’s Ken Jesus", "Historically Accurate Jesus," "Transgender Maria de Guadalupe," "Pro-Choice Mary" and "Black Woman as God."

The group’s event has received backlash online, particularly for its encouragement of child attendees despite admitting that "parents are advised that some may find the latter portion of the show inappropriate for young children."

Logan Church, political director of CatholicVote, called out the group’s actions in a statement to Fox News.

"The so-called 'Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence' have made it their mission to mock Christianity with open hostility, and this blasphemous Easter event is just the latest example,” Church said.

"This is not bold, it’s not brave, and it’s certainly not art. Its bigotry dressed in costume, and Americans are right to be outraged," he added. "Let’s be clear: Sacrilege is not a religion, and it is not protected under the banner of religious freedom. While we live in a country that defends free speech, that does not mean Christians are required to sit silently while our faith is ridiculed. We have every right, and every reason, to push back."
